Drouilly book distributed

French Marist, Fr François Drouilly's, book on the letters of Jean-Claude Colin in the period 1836-1853 is now being distributed in three languages.  The 115-page book has been translated into English by the U.S. province's Fr Philip Gage and is entitled 'From the Logbook of a Spiritual Adventurer'.

It summarises the major themes of the Founder's extensive correspondence during his years as superior-general when the Society of Mary was growing apace and draws extensively from the collection of letters in the 'Colin Sup' publication.

The chapters are:

  • Confidence
  • 'If you do not pray...'
  • Combat
  • The cross
  • Openness of heart
  • 'Let us be simple...'
  • A spirit of childhood
  • For the quality of life!
  • 'We were happy to be brothers'

As reported in 'What's new' on Nov 24, 2013:
